Day Five

Can’t believe we are already on Day 5..Anyways.

I drank coffee this morning & wouldn’t you know it, now Liam won’t nap!

As of a reflection of my Day Five financial journey, I have to say, I am pretty proud of myself! Aside from paying rent, cable(still considering ditching even though we talked down our bill), gas, & spending $3.50 on “extras”, we have spent $0. No random trips to walmart, no “grocery shopping” when we have a million things to eat.

I have to say, the refilling of water bottles is going over fairly well. We were almost out, & now it is like we will never be :)

Another thing is the menu. Hubs usually doesn’t get home until 5 or 6, and by then dinner is ready. How can he say no if it’s already made? He used to try to talk me out of whatever I was making to eat a Jack’s pizza (his form of crack). Last night, Jessica gave me her leftovers, so I did not make what was on the menu & he ate a Jack’s, but…WE DID NOT EAT OUT! The main goal.  I have made my To-Do lists & menu for next week, and am actually being all nerdy & excited about Monday…weird I know.

The more days I go without spending any money, the better I feel & the less stress is put on me. You know the old saying, “Happy wife, happy life.” & This wife is getting happier about life!
